Bristol Rovers vs Rotherham, sat 2nd Dec, Memorial ground, 2-1
Our game away in Brizzle found Ian and I in the drizzle at the foot of Mount Snowden in Llanberis.A lovely birthday present. We started the day with a big breakfast then retired to our room to watch the Rugby League World Cup final from Australia. After we got stuffed in that game due to a dodgy Australian referee (so Ian says, I know nothing about rugby) we headed for Caernarfon where we visited the castle.
It was a bit chilly. As we set off again for a drive over to Anglesey my watch tinged. We had scored! Ryan Williams. Crisis. What crisis?
Ryan and Moore* in happier times
I was just calculating how high up the table we would climb when two close pings signalled two Brizzle goals. 2-1. Apparently Mike made a mistake (AGAIN) for the first, although, amazingly, neither goal came from a cross. Still, as we crossed the Menai Bridge, we still had hope. That is until Moore* decided to punch a defender in the face and get a straight red card. The game finished 2-1 and a three match ban for the top striker in all England beckons.
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye?
As the light faded we returned to Llanberis discussing whether we would still follow the Millers if they dropped out of the league.
Next up, a trip to the seaside, Blackpool
